Steps for Applying for a Position with KECH
Step 1: Review Job Postings
Carefully review our open job postings (see list below), as some positions have state residency restrictions. Ensure you are applying for a position for which you meet all qualifications.
Step 2: Complete the KECH Job Application
Submit a KECH Job Application for the desired position.
Step 3: Take Assessments Tests (if required)
Depending on the position, you may be required to complete three assessment tests.
Step 4: Upload Required Documents
Submit the following three (3) documents as part of your application:
- Your Resume
- Results of an Internet speed test
- Results of a Typing test
If your application is incomplete (i.e., missing a resume, typing test, etc) after 48 hours from its submission date, it will be automatically archived, making it not eligible for consideration.

Job Description/Requirements
Experience Required: Minimum 3 years in government contracting
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant with a strong background in government contracting to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing accounting entries, reviewing and submitting payroll, invoicing, and other financial duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounting Entries: Prepare and post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals.
- Accounts Receivable and Payable: Oversee AR and AP processes, ensuring timely and accurate billing and payments.
- Vendor Management: Gathering and maintaining vendor payment info such as ACH, W9s, etc.
- Payroll Review and Submission: Review payroll data for accuracy, process payroll, and ensure timely submission.
- Invoicing: Generate and submit invoices to clients, ensuring all contractual terms are met.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with government contracting regulations and company policies.
- Tax Support: Assisting the tax accountant with bookkeeping information for tax purposes.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Other Duties: Perform other financial duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting with government contracting knowledge.
- Proficiency in accounting software, Quickbooks and other, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and government contracting regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
